Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has reached a new milestone at Galatasaray following his strike in the commanding 3–1 win over Fatih Karagümrük in the Turkish Super Lig.
The strike marks his 50th goal with the Turkish top-flight side in less than two-year spell, signaling his scoring prowess.
The milestone strike came in Osimhen’s first league appearance since mid-December, following a busy spell on international duty. Despite the time away from domestic action, the Nigerian forward showed no signs of rust, returning with the same intensity, sharpness, and hunger that have made him one of the most feared attackers in Turkish football.
Osimhen’s comeback had already been hinted at earlier in the week when he featured for Galatasaray in their UEFA Champions League encounter against Atletico Madrid.
That appearance came shortly after his standout performances for Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he played a key role in the Super Eagles’ bronze-medal finish. Carrying that confidence back to club football, Osimhen looked determined to make an immediate statement.
Galatasaray dominated large spells of the contest, and Osimhen’s influence grew as the match progressed. His movement unsettled the Karagümrük defense, while his presence in the final third created space and opportunities for his teammates. Beyond his scoring exploits, the Nigerian international has also contributed six assists since joining the Istanbul giants, underlining his all-round value to the team.
