Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ahli have their sights set on Brazilian international of Cameroonian descent Vinicius Junior ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old attacker, whose contract expires in summer 2027 at Real Madrid has yet to sign a new deal for the club, sparking speculations about his future at the club.
Negotiations for contract extension between Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior stalled at the time Xabi Alonso was in charge of the team.
But the attacker in a recent interview declared readiness to commit future to the Spanish giants, signaling a feud with Alonso, who recently left the club as coach.
Al-Ahli is the most prominent club from the Russian league interested in acquiring the services of Vinicius Junior and has held talks and made an offer worth one billion euros.
Despite Vinicius Junior’s insistence on remaining at Real Madrid, talks have been ongoing for more than a year between Saudi officials and his business representatives.
Vinicius Junior had contributed to Real Madrid’s resounding 6-1 victory over Monaco in the Champions League, scoring the fifth goal.
