Spanish outfit Valencia have submitted an offer for the acquisition of Mali international Aliou Dieng in the current winter transfer window.
The Mestalla outfit are keen about strengthening their squad following an inconsistence performance in the current campaign.
In an attempt to revive their season, Valencia have set sights on capturing the signature of Dieng, offering €500,000 to Al Ahly for his services.
But the Egyptian giants are reluctant to part ways with the Malian midfielder at the moment, as he remains a key part of the team’s plans, making negotiations difficult for the Spanish side.
Meanwhile, it is unknown whether Valencia will return with an improved offer to lure the midfielder before the closure of the window.
Dieng has made eighteen appearances for the Egyptian club across all competitions but has yet to register a goal or assist.
He joined Al Ahly in July 2019 on a five-year contract and has since established himself as akey member of the team. He has won several titles with the club, including the Egyptian Premier League, CAF Champions League, and CAF Super Cup.
At the international level, Dieng has represented Mali in several tournament including the Africa Cup of Nations.
