Tanguy Ndombele linked with Rubin Kazan move
Tanguy Ndombele, the French and DR Congo midfielder currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Russian Premier Liga side Rubin Kazan.
The 29-year-old central midfielder has been without a club since leaving Nice on 1 July 2026, having joined the French club from Tottenham on a free transfer in July 2024. The reported interest from Rubin would offer Ndombele a return to club football after his departure from Nice.
Ndombele made 106 Ligue 1 appearances during his career, scoring twice and providing 19 assists. He has also played in the Premier League, Serie A and Turkish Super Lig, as well as appearing in both the Champions League and Europa League.
His career has included spells with Amiens, Lyon, Tottenham, Napoli, Galatasaray and Nice. During a loan spell at Napoli in the 2022-23 season, he won the Italian championship, before helping Galatasaray claim the Turkish title and Turkish Super Cup the following campaign.
Ndombele’s most recent move was to Nice, where he spent two seasons before becoming unattached. No transfer fee or contract terms have been established for the potential move to Rubin Kazan, and the rumour remains unconfirmed.
