Speaking on France 24 television, the Cameroonian football legend and president of the football federation clearly expressed his appreciation, while urging him to surpass his achievement in the game.
“I want him to do better than Samuel Eto’o. He has everything it takes to do better than Samuel Eto’o. And I don’t want him to get a big head today, because he knows how highly I think of him. And I don’t want his teammates, because it’s a natural feeling, to perhaps take it out on him, because he’s receiving congratulations from all over,” said Samuel Eto’o.
Kofane has joined his Bayer Leverkusen teammates for the continuation of the 2025/26 football campaign. Before joining Cameroon for the AFCON 2025, the forward had racked up five goals and provided five assists in 25 appearances.
