Amin Chiakha is set to leave FC Copenhagen on loan for a second consecutive season as the 19-year-old striker continues to search for regular playing time.
The young forward has struggled to establish himself in Copenhagen’s first team, despite early expectations that he would quickly become a key figure for the club.
Chiakha, who has already earned two caps for the national team, has seen his rapid rise slow considerably since breaking through at a young age.
Last season’s loan move to Vejle BK failed to deliver the breakthrough he was hoping for.
He made 14 appearances and scored twice, a return that did little to convince Copenhagen’s management that he is ready to play a central role at the club.
As a result, Chiakha remains on the transfer list, with doubts persisting over his ability to fulfil his potential in the Danish capital.
According to journalist Farzam Abolhosseini, another temporary move is now being prepared, with Norway emerging as the most likely destination.
Rosenborg are expected to be Chiakha’s next club, as the Norwegian side look to rebuild after several difficult seasons.
Once a dominant force in domestic football, Rosenborg have struggled in recent years and are no longer among the league’s leading teams.
The proposed loan is expected to last one year, until January 2027, reflecting the different seasonal calendar in northern European football.
However, it remains unclear whether the agreement will include an option to buy, with details of the deal yet to be confirmed.
For Chiakha, the move represents another opportunity to gain valuable minutes and revive a career that began with considerable promise.
At just 19, time remains on his side, but the need for consistent performances has become increasingly urgent.
The coming hours are expected to be decisive as discussions progress, with Copenhagen keen to find a solution that allows the striker to continue his development away from the club.
