Head Coach of Morocco Walid Regragui has confirmed the availability of defender Romain Saiss for the blockbuster semi-final clash against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The 35-year-old centre-back missed the quarterfinal clash against Cameroon, where the side cruised to a 2-0 victory to secure a place in the semi-final.
The high-stake clash between Nigeria and Morocco has been scheduled to take place at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah, with victory crucial to securing qualification to the finals of the tournament.
Ahead of the clash, Regragui has confirmed the experienced defender will be available to face the Super Eagles, while Azzedine Ounahi remain sidelined.
“Azzedine is still injured, while Romain Saiss has returned to training and can participate, and the rest of the players can participate.” He at the pre-match conference.
His return come as a huge boost for Morocco, who are seeking to annex the title on home soil, having showcased glimpse of good performance at the tournament.
