Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for Mali striker Lassine Sinayoko, following his eye-catching start to the Africa Cup of Nations and growing reputation in Ligue 1.
The 26-year-old Auxerre forward has scored in both of Mali’s opening AFCON matches, finding the net against Zambia and tournament hosts Morocco as the Eagles opened their campaign with two draws. His performances have added to interest from Europe, with United now said to be monitoring his situation closely.
According to Africa Foot, the Premier League side are weighing up whether to make a move in the January transfer window, while also exploring the possibility of signing Sinayoko as a free agent in the summer.
The report suggests United have already held discussions with the striker’s representatives, with the club keen to move early. From 1 January, Sinayoko would be eligible to agree a pre-contract with foreign clubs, allowing United to secure his future in advance.
