Senegal international Sadio Mane is already looking up to their final group game against Benin at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Taranga Lions will take on the Squirrels of Benin in a high-stale Group D clash on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, with both teams seeking for maximum points for qualification.
Senegal sit on top of Group D, but are tied on four points with the Leopards of Congo after two matches each.
Having shared the spoils with DR Congo on Saturday, the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich star has shifted his attention to their final group game against Benin, insisting the side is well-equipped for the match.
“The goal was to win all of our matches, but this is a good point for us. It is good to stay under the radar because there is too much hype around the team right now. Now, we are going to turn our focus toward Benin. It will be another, much more difficult match, but we are well-equipped for these types of encounters.”
Mane was named as the Man of the Match in the match crucial game against DR Congo, where he netted the needed equalizer to snatch a point for the Taranga Lions.
The enterprising attacker is expected to play a huge role for Senegal as they seeks for a win in their final group game to secure a place in the knockout stage.
