Barcelona are reportedly keen on signing England defender of Ivorian descent, Marc Guehi, in the January transfer window.
Guehi’s situation has become one of the most closely watched at Selhurst Park, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season. Several top European clubs are monitoring the centre-back’s availability, and Real Madrid are believed to be considering a January bid in the region of £35 million.
However, Madrid may face competition from their La Liga rivals, Barcelona. A report from Spain claims the Catalan giants are now very keen on securing Guehi’s signature.
The 25-year-old is reportedly Deco’s most favoured centre-back option as Barcelona plan to reinforce their defence in 2026 following Iñigo Martínez’s move to Al-Nassr.
Crystal Palace have endured a challenging spell in recent weeks, extending their winless run to three matches across all competitions. Their heavy 4-1 defeat to relegation-threatened Leeds United in their most recent outing is expected to raise concerns for head coach Oliver Glasner.
Despite the dip in form, the Eagles remain well placed for a positive campaign and currently sit just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, a position that has inevitably drawn attention to several of their standout players.
Palace chairman Steve Parish and the club’s hierarchy are also said to be planning for the future, with preparations reportedly underway for life beyond Adam Wharton in 2026.
The midfielder has been attracting interest from a number of clubs, including Manchester United, while Tottenham Hotspur were also linked with a potential move for Jean-Philippe Mateta earlier this month.
