The General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Véron Mosengo-Omba, has confirmed Morocco, France and the United Kingdom as countries to have acquired most tickets for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 35th edition of the continental showpiece begins on Sunday, December 18 through to January 18, 2026, with 24 countries battling it out for the covetous trophy.

As excitement grows, Véron Mosengo-Omba has detailed tickets acquisition, with host, Morocco, France and the United Kingdom in the lead.

Other countries including Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Tunisia, and the United States are among the top buyers, demonstrating a growing international interest in the continental tournament.

According to Mosengo-Omba, the current edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is already breaking records in terms of ticket sales.

He noted that the previous edition, held in Ivory Coast, generated approximately $11 million in ticket revenue, a figure already surpassed this year.

“I can’t give you the exact figure yet because sales are still ongoing,” he clarified.

Morocco and Comoros will open the Africa Cup of Nations in a high-stake clash, scheduled at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on Sunday evening.
