FIFA boss Gianni Infantino officially presents FIFPro trophy to Achraf Hakimi in Morocco

President of the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, has officially presented Morocco star Achraf Hakimi with his FIFPro trophy after being named in the world best eleven.

In the presence of Morocco teammates, Infantino presented the trophy to Hakimi at the Mohammed VI Football Complex as they gears up for the commencement of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Hakimi, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain cemented his status as a top player in 2025, securing a place in the FIFA FIFPro World XI for the 2024-2025 season. The award was presented at “The Best” FIFA FIFPro awards ceremony held in Doha, Qatar.

The pacey right-back enjoyed a remarkable season with the French giants, securing all major trophies domestically and internationally.

Morocco will open their AFCON account against Comoros on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with both teams seeking for a flying start to the tournament in the North African country.

The tournament, which kick start on December 21, runs until January 18, 2026, with 24 countries battling for the ultimate title.
