AFCON 2025: French Montana, Davido and others to perform at opening concert on Saturday

The Confederation of African Football has unveiled the artists set to perform at the opening concert of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations 2025, promising a vibrant and memorable curtain-raiser in Rabat ahead of the tournament.

Global hip-hop star French Montana and Nigerian Afrobeats heavyweight Davido will top the bill at the ceremony, leading an international line-up that blends African and global music influences.

They will be joined by Moroccan singer Douaa Lahyaoui, French-Moroccan hitmaker Lartiste and emerging talent Says’z, underlining AFCON’s commitment to celebrating culture beyond football.

The carefully selected cast reflects the tournament’s role as a continental showcase, bringing together music, identity and global appeal alongside elite African football.

The performances are expected to highlight Morocco’s cultural richness while reinforcing AFCON’s status as more than just a sporting event.

The opening concert is scheduled for Saturday, one day before the first match of the tournament, and is set to ignite excitement among fans in Rabat and across the continent.

AFCON 2025 kicks off on Sunday, December 21, when Morocco face off with Comoros. The tournament will run through Christmas to the New Year, with the final scheduled for January 18, 2026.
