Galatasaray are considering a move for Germany international of Sierra Leonean descent Antonio Rudiger ahead of the winter transfer window.
The future of the tough-tackling defender at Real Madrid remains uncertain future at Real Madrid, fueling a flurry of transfer rumors surrounding the German defender.
Rudiger’s contract with the Spanish giants expires at the end of the season, giving Galatasaray the chance to be able to negotiate directly with the defender starting January.
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk highly values Rudiger’s experience and sees him as the perfect fit to strengthen the back line.
Rudiger has yet to extend his contract with Real Madrid and is open to considering offers. Galatasaray’s plan is to reach an agreement with the player first, before approaching Real Madrid with an official offer.
This season, the defender has been sidelined with injury for most of the campaign, managing to feature in just five matches for the Madrid side.
It’s worth noting that Galatasaray already boasts notable German stars such as İlkay Gündoğan and Leroy Sané in their ranks.
