Nigeria forward Stephen Odey ends his four-and-a-half-year with Randers FC
Nigerian international Stephen Odey will depart Danish top-flight side Randers FC at the end of the month, bringing an end to his four-and-a-half-year spell.
With his contract expiring at the end of December, both parties have agreed to go separate ways. Odey initially joined Randers on loan from Belgian side KRC Genk in the 2021/22 season before making the deal permanent following an impressive loan spell.
Over the years, Odey has become a key figure in the squad, known for his attacking prowess and work ethic.
As he set to depart the club, the 27-year-old has taken to the club’s official channels to thank the fans, staff, and teammates for their support throughout his time in Denmark.
“I have really enjoyed my time here in Randers. It has been a fantastic period with fantastic people at the club – from the staff and management to the players and fans,” Odey said.
“I have been here for many years, through both good and bad times, and I will really miss the club – but that is life in football. I wish the team all the best for the rest of the season.”
During his tenure at Randers, Odey made 129 appearances and scored 28 goals, leaving a lasting impression on the club and its supporters.
