Masindi Nemtajela has vowed to return stronger after missing out on South Africa’s final 25-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Orlando Pirates midfielder, included in the preliminary 55-man list, expressed his disappointment with measured perspective and a commitment to work harder.
Nemtajela, 24, had impressed national coach Hugo Broos during his initial call-up to the senior team for a friendly against Zambia, raising expectations that he could secure a spot in the final squad.

“I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed,” Nemtajela told reporters. “My participation in the COSAFA tournaments opened the door to the senior team, and this experience has shown me the standards required to compete at this level.”
