World Cup 2026: Strong Ghana will give Croatia a tough match – Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic
Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic is bracing for a challenging encounter against Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The European side was drawn in Group L alongside Ghana, England, and Panama following last Friday’s draw.
Speaking after the ceremony, Dalic said, “We don’t care too much about Ghana… but it will be a very tough game for Croatia. The Ghana team is very strong and very fast.”
The two nations will meet in their final Group L fixture, a match that could prove decisive for progression to the knockout stage. Ghana, drawn with England, Croatia, and Panama, will look to build momentum ahead of the showdown with the 2018 World Cup finalists.
Dalic’s comments reflect a mixture of confidence and caution. While emphasising that Croatia remains focused on their own preparation, he acknowledged the athleticism and speed that have become defining features of the current Black Stars squad.
For Ghana, the clash with Croatia represents one of the group’s marquee matches, offering the Black Stars an opportunity to challenge a seasoned European powerhouse.
With both teams expected to contend for a spot in the last 32, the fixture promises to be a highlight of Group L.
