Zanga Koné has completed a loan move from US Boulogne to FC Chambly Oise, joining the National 2 side from Ligue 2 on a deal running from 06/12/2025 to 30/06/2026.

The Ivorian centre-forward leaves Boulogne for Chambly in a temporary switch confirmed as a loan transfer, with no permanent fee involved. Koné, whose current market value is listed at €100,000, will spend the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign with Chambly before returning to his parent club at the end of the agreement.

Koné, 21, has been registered as a FC Chambly Oise player in France’s National 2 – Group B, moving down a division in search of regular senior football. The forward is under contract with Boulogne and is scheduled to go back when the loan expires, meaning there is no change to his long-term registration and no indication in the data that he will become a free agent at the end of this spell.

Born in Abobo and standing at 1.88m, Koné operates through the middle as a centre-forward and is right-footed. He has spent the last few seasons building his career exclusively in French football, progressing steadily through the lower tiers. After starting out with Sainte-Geneviève Sports B, he stepped up to Sainte-Geneviève Sports’ first team, earning a move to Paris Saint-Germain Espoirs on 01/07/2024.

From PSG’s youth ranks he joined US Boulogne on 01/07/2025, moving into a club competing in Ligue 2. His market value of €100k was most recently determined during his time at Boulogne, underlining that his development there has been monitored and recognised, even if he now heads to a lower division to gain more playing time.

The loan to Chambly keeps Koné within the French system, continuing a pathway that has already taken him through several clubs and leagues in the country rather than in his homeland of Côte d’Ivoire. All of his senior and development steps listed so far have come in France, and the switch to National 2 – Group B extends that sequence.

Koné’s transfer history reflects a player on a clear upward trajectory through the French pyramid: from a B team at Sainte-Geneviève, to their senior side, into PSG’s espoirs set-up, on to Boulogne in Ligue 2 and now to Chambly in National 2 on loan. The confirmed return date of 30/06/2026 indicates Boulogne still see value in retaining his rights beyond this spell.

With his physical profile, age and experience across several French clubs, the loan offers Koné a chance to refine his game in a competitive environment and push for a role at a higher level when he goes back to Boulogne. How he performs for Chambly over the course of this loan period is likely to shape his next step, his standing within the Boulogne squad on his return, and the direction of his career in French football.
