Fulham are preparing to make Samuel Chukwueze’s stay at Craven Cottage permanent following the Nigerian winger’s impressive start to life in the Premier League.

Chukwueze arrived on a season-long loan from AC Milan in the summer and has quickly become a standout performer under Marco Silva.

The 26-year-old caught the spotlight on Tuesday when he scored twice in Fulham’s dramatic 5-4 defeat to Manchester City. His direct play, creativity and growing influence in the final third have made him one of the club’s most exciting attacking outlets this season.

In just seven league appearances, Chukwueze has contributed two goals and three assists, a return that has convinced Fulham to trigger the €28 million purchase option in his loan agreement, according to TransferNews.

The former Villarreal star will now aim to build on his strong form when Fulham host Crystal Palace at Craven Cottage on Sunday, as he continues to cement his place in the squad and in the hearts of the supporters.
