AFCON 2025: Nigeria coach Eric Chelle announces 55-man provisional lists for tournament
Head coach of Nigeria, Eric Chelle, has released a strong and competitive 55-man preliminary squad ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The list features a blend of experienced regulars, in-form performers, and exciting new prospects as Nigeria prepares for another push for continental glory in Morocco.
The 35th edition of the continental showpiece has been scheduled to take place in the North African country between December 2025 and January 2026, with 24 nations set to battle for the covetous trophy.
Chelle is expected to prune down the squad to the required number before the commencement of the tournament in Morocco.
The Super Eagles have been drawn into Group C against Tunisia, Tanzania, and Uganda as they team aim for a strong run in the tournament.
Nigeria are bent on redeeming themselves in the upcoming tournament, having fell short to Ivory Coast in 2023 AFCON.
