Fulham boss Marco Silva turns up the heat on Samuel Chukwueze with blunt 'I’m not convinced' warning

Marco Silva has made it clear that Samuel Chukwueze must deliver consistent, high-impact performances before earning greater responsibilities in Fulham’s attack.

The Portuguese manager’s stance follows the winger’s lively contribution in his latest Premier League outing, which revived discussion about his readiness for a regular starting role.

Chukwueze arrived at Fulham on loan from AC Milan on deadline day, joining with expectations that he would add pace and unpredictability to the frontline.

His transition, however, has been measured. The Nigeria international has featured six times, with each appearance coming from the bench as Silva manages his integration carefully.

The former Villarreal winger produced his most compelling display yet at the weekend. Introduced in the 64th minute, he immediately altered the tempo of Fulham’s play and attacked space with confidence.

His direct running unsettled the opposition, and he delivered the decisive cross for Raúl Jiménez to score the winner.

Silva acknowledged the spark Chukwueze brought but stressed that one performance is not enough to change the hierarchy.

“I’m pleased with him, but I have to see more. It’s not his fault that I have to see more. I think all the context didn’t give us the chance to see more.

“I need to see more in session and more time in games to see the adaptation for the intensity, for the aggressiveness in the right way that PL demands from players.

“He is a very good player I knew before. That he has the talent I knew before.”

Chukwueze’s challenge now is to build on his latest cameo as Fulham navigate a demanding period.
