Morocco will play two friendly matches against Burkina Faso and South Africa as part of their build-up to the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation confirmed that Marrakech and Agadir will host the fixtures.

The Atlas Lionesses face Burkina Faso on 28 November in Marrakech.

They then travel to Agadir for a second test on 2 December against South Africa, the reigning African champions.

The team uses these matches to sharpen combinations, assess their rhythm and strengthen their tactical cohesion ahead of the continental tournament.

Morocco prepares to host the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations from 17 March to 3 April, and the upcoming friendlies form a key step in their planning cycle.

The squad aims to evaluate their competitive readiness while keeping focus on maintaining intensity throughout the build-up.

The tournament will feature 16 teams from across the continent. Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana and South Africa headline the list, alongside several other leading nations that continue to push the level of women’s football in Africa.

Morocco’s coaching staff view the two friendlies as crucial moments to test strategies, adjust the team’s structure and refine technical execution before the final phase of preparation begins.

The squad also uses the matches to reinforce confidence and build momentum on home soil ahead of a major event that carries high expectations.
