Farid Benstiti has named a 26-player squad for the women’s national team camp that runs from 24 November to 2 December at the National Technical Center in Sidi Moussa.

Benstiti plans to use the camp to intensify preparations for the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, and he set up two friendly matches against Kenya to sharpen his group.

The team will meet the Kenyan side on 26 and 30 November at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida, giving the coach a clear opportunity to assess form, combinations, and rhythm before the continental competition in March.

He retained the core of his squad, but he still made room for adjustments as he looks to strengthen every department.

He focused on balance and competition for places, and he challenged every player to impress during the camp.

The group will train daily in Sidi Moussa, where the coaching staff designed an intense program aimed at improving physical sharpness and tactical cohesion.

Benstiti also addressed the absence of two familiar names. Ghaoutia Karchouni does not feature in midfield, and Marine Dafeur misses out in attack.

He acknowledged the impact of their absence, but he emphasised the value of the available options and encouraged others to seize the opportunity.

He urged the squad to maintain hunger and discipline as he pushes towards a strong AFCON campaign.

The two matches against Kenya will offer critical insights into the team’s readiness.

Benstiti intends to rotate his players, monitor individual progress, and refine his tactical approach.

The coaching staff expects competitive performances from both teams, and they view the matches as important steps in the final phase of preparation.

The squad will resume training immediately after the first match, and Benstiti aims to maintain momentum throughout the camp.

He expressed confidence in the group and highlighted the importance of unity, focus, and consistency as the journey to the 2026 tournament continues.
