Egypt FA shares official guidelines for World Cup ticket purchase

The Egyptian Football Association has revealed the complete and official process for Egyptian fans hoping to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Dr. Mostafa Azzam, the FA’s executive director, stressed that all ticket purchases must be made exclusively through FIFA’s official ticketing portal. This move aims to protect fans from unauthorized vendors and prevent any unofficial sales.

According to Azzam, the first step for every fan is to create a personal FIFA ticketing account, as applications and ticket collection can only be completed with a fully validated profile. He urged supporters to set up their accounts ahead of the December 11, 2025, opening date for ticket requests, as the window will close on January 13, 2026.

Fans will select their matches and submit requests through the portal. If demand exceeds ticket supply, a random draw will follow, fairly distributing the Egypt fans’ quota. Those allocated tickets must complete payment promptly to confirm their reservation.

All tickets will be delivered digitally, with QR codes enabling stadium entry. The FA also submitted a request to FIFA to activate the official ticket resale service, offering fans the chance to recover costs if their plans change.

The FA stressed, “Fans should stick strictly to official channels and start travel visa processes in advance to avoid last-minute issues.”
