Nigeria star Victor Osimhen hails Morocco’s ‘incredible’ facilities ahead of AFCON 2025
Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has eulogized Morocco’s incredible infrastructures ahead of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The high-stake continental showpiece has been scheduled to take place in the North African country between December 2025 and January 2026.
The Super Eagles are paired in Group C against Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda in the much-anticipated AFCON tournament.
As Nigeria gears up for the crucial World Cup playoff final against DR Congo on Sunday evening, Osimhen, who plies his trade for Galatasaray has praised Morocco, insisting their facilities and passion for football make it an ideal host for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
“Morocco is truly a great football country… The level of infrastructure here is incredible… I am always very happy to come and play in Morocco, and I am convinced that the AFCON will be impressive given everything that is being put in place,” he said.
Morocco’s heavy investment in football has paid off in recent years, with the nation hosting major CAF events and achieving historic milestones on global stages.
Osimhen scored twice last Thursday when Nigeria defeated Gabon 4-1 after extra-time to secure a spot in the African playoff final. He is expected to play a huge role for the Super Eagles ahead of crucial clash against DR Congo.
