Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou hails club’s dominance in Bafana Bafana squad

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has hailed his outfit dominance in the Bafana Bafana squad for friendly against Zambia.

As part of preparation for the AFCON, the Bafana Bafana has lined up a high-stake friendly against Chipolopolo, scheduled for this Saturday in Gqeberha

Pirates has had an impressive start to the Premiership season, annexing the MTN8 and also reaching the Carling Cup Knockout final.

However, ten Orlando Pirates players have been drafted into the South Africa squad for the impending friendly.

Thalente Mbatha, Sipho Mbule, Evidence Makgopa, Oswin Appollis Tshepang Moremi. Sipho Chaine, Mbekezeli Mbokazi, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Masindi Nemtajela are in camp ahead of the match.

“First of all, I’d like to congratulate them because when you’re a part of the national team, you have to be proud,” said Ouaddou as per IdiskiTimes.

“It means that you have been selected among the best in your country. It shows as well that our club is working well.

“The club is creating the right environment for the players to perform. So, we are proud as a club and as a technical staff. We will support them 1000% for playing for the country.”

The Bafana Bafana, who secured bronze medal in the last edition of the continental showpiece will participate in the 35th edition scheduled to take place in Morocco.

The much-anticipated tournament will be held in the North African country between December 2025 and January 2026.
