Mamelodi Sundowns defender Keanu Cupido focused ahead of TS Galaxy showdown

Mamelodi Sundown defender Keanu Cupido has urged focus ahead of their South African Premiership game against TS Galaxy on Wednesday evening.

In a highly competitive clash at the Loftus Versveld, Sundowns and TS Galaxy will lock horns with both teams yearning for the three maximum points.

On the back of a 1-1 draw against rivals Orlando Pirates at the weekend, Cupido insists his outfit are looking forward to the Galaxy match.

“We know at Sundowns you need to forget about the previous game” Cupido told his club website.

“We had to let go of the Pirates game, where we let ourselves down as players, but now we’re preparing for TS Galaxy. They won their last game, so they’ll come into this one confident. We’re just focused on us and the job ahead.”

Galaxy beat Stellenbosch FC 2-0 on weekend and the Mpumalanga side are currently enjoying a great run of form.

With Sundowns less explosive and clinical this season, Galaxy could not be faulted for thinking they can beat the defending Betway Premiership champions.

Cupido says his team know all there has to be about their opponents.

“We know TS Galaxy is a team that wants to play on the break and their wingers are very good, young and quick as well, so we know they rely on them and we know that if we stop them, the game will be much easier for us,” he said.
