Morocco appoints Real Madrid’s Abián Perdomo to bolster technical structure

According to Marca, the Canary Island native – formerly head of training and methodology at Real Madrid – will work closely with Fathi Jamal, a veteran figure in Moroccan football and current director of the federation’s technical department.

Perdomo’s credentials speak for themselves. During his time at Valdebebas, he played a vital role in shaping Real Madrid’s youth methodology, serving as a bridge between the academy and the first team.

He is credited with helping nurture emerging stars like Nico Paz and was part of Carlo Ancelotti’s coaching staff during Real Madrid’s 2021-22 La Liga and Champions League-winning campaign.

His experience also includes stints in Atlético Madrid’s youth system, giving him deep insight into Spain’s most sophisticated player development structures.

The FRMF’s decision to recruit Perdomo highlights its commitment to sustainability beyond short-term success.
