Cameroonian goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa nears move to Greek side Panargiakos

Fabrice Ondoa is close to joining Greek second division club Panargiakos after advanced negotiations between both parties.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper has reached a verbal agreement with the club and awaits final confirmation to complete the move.

Ondoa, who left Riga FS earlier this year, continues his search for a new challenge to stay active and competitive.

The 29-year-old, once among Cameroon’s most promising goalkeepers, now looks ready to begin a new chapter in Greece.

Sources confirm that Ondoa plans to sign a deal running until the end of the current season.

Panargiakos, managed by former Cameroonian international Guy Feutchine, views the experienced goalkeeper as a valuable addition to strengthen their squad.

The move could also offer Ondoa the opportunity to revive his form and aim for a return to the Indomitable Lions.

The Yaoundé-born goalkeeper has already arrived in Greece and awaits the completion of his medical before finalizing the deal.

His agent remains confident that the transfer will go through, stating that discussions have progressed smoothly.

Ondoa’s market value stands at €325,000, according to Transfermarkt. Negotiations continue regarding his potential role in the starting lineup, a key factor for the player as he seeks regular game time.

A product of FC Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, Ondoa has played for several clubs across Europe, including Sevilla Atlético, NK Istra, KV Oostende, and most recently Riga FS.

His career has seen both promising highs and difficult periods, but his determination to bounce back remains unchanged.

Cameroonian supporters view this potential move as a fresh start for Ondoa, who played a crucial role in Cameroon’s 2017 AFCON triumph.

They hope his time in Greece will reignite his career and lead to a national team comeback.
