Young Africans sack head coach Romain Folz after home loss to Silver Strikers
Tanzanian powerhouse Young Africans SC have announced the departure of head coach Romain Folz following their CAF Champions League setback on Saturday.
Yanga suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Malawian side Silver Strikers in the first leg of the second preliminary round, prompting the club’s management to end their association with the French tactician, who previously served as assistant coach at Mamelodi Sundowns.
In an official statement, the Tanzanian champions confirmed that Patrick Mabedi has been appointed to take charge of the team on an interim basis.
