Zamalek asserts transparency and demands proof in youth team dispute

Zamalek football club has firmly responded to recent allegations of financial and administrative irregularities in its youth team, emphasizing transparency and calling for concrete proof before launching any investigation.

The club’s management, led by Vice President Hesham Nasr and youth team head Badr Hamed, held an urgent meeting to address claims presented by former player Walid Salah Abdel Latif on television.

During the meeting, Hamed categorically rejected all accusations, stating there were no violations of any kind, and stressed the sector’s adherence to strict regulations and clear procedures. He declared, “If anyone has documents or tangible evidence that contradicts my statements, I am ready, along with all sector staff, to face legal and administrative review before the club’s board.”

Hamed highlighted that subjective criticism often arises when parents feel their children were wrongly excluded following technical evaluations, and he noted, “This happens at every major club.” He then urged Walid Salah Abdel Latif to provide any documents supporting his claims “today, not tomorrow,” reaffirming complete trust in the youth sector staff.

Zamalek’s management reiterated its intent to immediately investigate any proven misconduct and underscored their ongoing commitment to nurturing homegrown talent both as a solution to present financial challenges and for the club’s future success
