Spanish La Liga outfit Real Betis are reportedly keen on securing Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on a permanent deal following a strong start to life in Andalusia.

The 29-year-old, currently on loan from Fenerbahçe, has quickly become a cornerstone for coach Manuel Pellegrini, helping stabilise the midfield and contributing to three consecutive La Liga victories that have reignited Betis’ campaign.

According to reports, club officials are highly impressed with Amrabat’s performances, praising his fitness, aggression, and consistency, with many describing him as one of the team’s most reliable players.

While the current loan agreement, under which Fenerbahçe continues to cover two-thirds of his wages, does not include a purchase option, Betis are said to be preparing negotiations for a permanent transfer, potentially employing a strategy similar to the one used to sign Antony.

Pellegrini is reportedly eager to retain the Moroccan international, who has become an integral part of his tactical setup. Amrabat’s loan expires at the end of the season, though his contract with Fenerbahçe runs until 2028.

With 68 caps for Morocco, the midfielder is expected to be at the centre of transfer talks between the two clubs during the summer window.
