Senegalese goalkeeper Marc Diouf confirms Teungueth FC exit ahead of move to TP Mazembe

Senegalese goalkeeper Marc Diouf has officially announced his departure from Teungueth FC after six years with the club, confirming his next destination will be Congolese powerhouse TP Mazembe.

The 26-year-old, who was named Best Goalkeeper at the last African Nations Championship (CHAN), shared the news in a heartfelt message on his Instagram account, expressing deep gratitude to everyone who contributed to his journey at the Senegalese side.

After several years spent with Teungueth FC💙💛, it is time for me to turn a page, Diouf wrote. I say THANK YOU to all the people who have crossed my path since 2018: A big thank you to President Babacar Ndiaye who has contributed a lot to my career and to Badou Dia.

The shot-stopper extended his appreciation to the club’s staff, teammates, and supporters, acknowledging their influence on his personal and professional growth.

Thank you to the management, staff, and especially my teammates who have become brothers. Thank you to my family, my friends, my brothers and sisters, without forgetting the ‘ALLEZ RIO💙💛’. I grew as a player and as a man within this club, he continued.

Diouf’s message reflected the deep bond he formed with Teungueth FC since joining in 2018.

His consistent performances and leadership from the back helped elevate the club’s profile both in the Senegalese top flight and on the continental stage.

Thank you for your trust. Thank you for the memories. I will never forget you and I will always be a proud supporter of TFC. Here we go for a new challenge, a new challenge with TP MAZEMBE. Good luck to all! he concluded.

The move to TP Mazembe marks a significant step forward in Diouf’s career.

The Lubumbashi-based giants, one of Africa’s most decorated clubs, have a strong tradition of nurturing top talent from across the continent.

Diouf’s arrival is expected to bolster Mazembe’s goalkeeping department as the team prepares for a busy season in domestic and CAF competitions.

His departure leaves a major void at Teungueth FC, where he established himself as a key figure and fan favourite.

However, his progression to one of Africa’s biggest clubs underscores his growing reputation as one of Senegal’s finest goalkeepers.
