Tunisian gaffer Nasreddine Nabi officially leaves South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs
Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi has officially left as the head coach of South African Premier League outfit, Kaizer Chiefs.
Nabi was suspended on September 17 following the Soweto giants embarrassing 3-1 defeat to Sekhukhune United in the Premiership at the FNB Stadium.
Earlier reports suggested that the Tunisian trainer was asked to step aside over alleged coaching qualifications that were invalid.
Nabi, however, insisted that his credentials were still valid and ultimately chose to part ways with the club, saying the trust had been broken.
However, Kaizer Chiefs in a statement have confirmed an amicable separation with the former Young Africans coach.
“Kaizer Chiefs FC and Head Coach Nasreddine Nabi hereby confirm that, following constructive engagements, they have mutually agreed to conclude their professional relationship on an amicable basis,” the club said.
“Coach Nabi, in turn, conveys his appreciation to Kaizer Chiefs FC, its leadership, players and supporters for their commitment and support during his time at the Club,” Amakhosi added.
Kaizer Chiefs will face Tanzanian giants Simba SC in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday, October 18.
