Fresh off a commanding 3-0 win against Djibouti and a World Cup qualification, Egypt’s national team isn’t taking any rest.

Instead, the squad is laser-focused on reclaiming their continental crown at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco next year. From captain Mohamed El-Shenawy to rising stars like Mohamed Hany and Marwan Attia, there’s a rallying cry: the time for celebration is short, and the quest for an eighth continental title is underway.

El-Shenawy shared, “Qualifying for the World Cup is a deserved achievement for the Egyptian people, who have waited so long for this joy. Our journey wasn’t easy. We fought with honor throughout, and I’m proud of every player and the staff, especially coach Hossam Hassan.” He expressed the team’s confidence in their blend of seasoned veterans and emerging talent, highlighting that every player is motivated to lift the trophy.

Mohamed Hany reflected on the squad’s progress: “We have stars from the biggest clubs, and we’re ready to challenge Africa again. The competition won’t be easy, especially in Morocco. But we’re ready. We believe in ourselves, and we’re determined to write a new chapter for Egyptian football.”
