Moroccan club Ittihad Tangier has issued a warning to Egyptian giants Zamalek, threatening to file an official complaint with FIFA over unpaid transfer fees for defender Abdel Hamid Maaly.

Tangier’s president, Nasrallah Krittit, revealed that although Maaly signed a five-year contract with Zamalek this summer, the agreed payment for his transfer remains outstanding. Multiple attempts to contact Zamalek’s management have gone unanswered, adding tension to the situation.

This isn’t the only transfer controversy for Zamalek. Portuguese side Estrela da Amadora and Ukrainian club Oleksandriya have also submitted formal complaints to FIFA, citing unpaid amounts for new signings Chico Banza and Juan Alvina. Alvina, the first Brazilian to score for Zamalek, has left a positive impression in his early matches, but the club’s financial troubles loom large.

Amid these disputes, Zamalek must focus on the upcoming match against Ghazl El Mahalla, a key test for their Belgian coach, Yannick Ferreira. The team will be missing several players due to injury and suspensions, making tomorrow’s game even more difficult. With potential sanctions from FIFA and internal pressure mounting, Zamalek faces a critical moment both on and off the pitch.
