Manchester United fans were given a glimpse of the future this week as Academy forwards Chido Obi and Victor Musa joined first team training.

The pair, both highly rated talents, have been rewarded for their strong performances at youth level.

Obi’s progress has been closely watched since his breakout last season. He has carried that form into the U21s, scoring three goals in five Premier League 2 matches. His latest promotion is seen as a natural step forward and builds on his earlier first team exposure.

Musa’s involvement comes as a surprise but a welcome one. The striker was outstanding with the U18s last season, where he found the net 16 times in 19 appearances. His ability to consistently score has made him one of the brightest prospects in the Academy.

Their presence with the senior squad points to coach Amorim’s intent to add attacking spark. With United struggling for goals and enduring a difficult start to the campaign, the call-ups bring hope of fresh energy and solutions from within.
