Europa League: Moroccan midfielder Bilal El Khannouss nets winning goal for Stuttgart against Celta Vigo

Moroccan youngster, Bilal El Khannouss, was on target for VfB Stuttgart on Thursday night, sealing an important 2-1 win for the German outfit in their Europa League clash against Celta Vigo.

Stuttgart took the lead six minutes into the second half when Badredine Bouanani latched onto a precise pass from Alexander Nübel and cleverly chipped the ball over the advancing goalkeeper.

El Khannouss then doubled the advantage in the 68th minute with a moment of brilliance. The midfielder weaved his way past multiple defenders before unleashing a low drive from the edge of the box that nestled inside the right post.

Celta Vigo fought back late, with Borja Iglesias reducing the deficit in the 86th minute after being set up by Ilaix Moriba.

However, Stuttgart held firm to secure all three points and get their Europa League campaign off to a winning start.

After another strong performance today, El Khannouss continues to shine at VfB Stuttgart and looks set to secure a permanent deal at the club at the end of his loan spell next summer.
