Simba SC appoint Hemed Suleiman as interim coach after Fadlu Davids’ exit
Tanzanian giants Simba SC have announced Hemed Suleiman as the replacement of South African coach Fadlu Davids.
Davids left the club on Monday and has since re-joined Raja Athletic Club in the Botola Pro League.
Following Davids’ departure, Simba moved quickly to find a replacement as the team continues its campaign in the CAF Champions League.
Suleiman, who currently serves as caretaker coach for the Tanzania national senior team, will lead Simba while the club searches for a permanent manager.
“Simba Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Hemed Suleiman, popularly known as Hemed Morocco, as the Interim Caretaker Coach for our upcoming international fixtures,” reads the club’s statement.
“This decision follows the recent departure of Head Coach Fadlu Davids, who mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the Club, and the suspension of Coach Selemani Matola, who received a red card in our last match.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) for granting permission for Hemed Morocco, currently the Head Coach of the Tanzania National Team to temporarily join Simba Club during this critical period as we finalize the process of appointing a new permanent Head Coach.
“Hemed Morocco will lead the technical bench for our CAF Champions League second-leg match against Gaborone United FC, scheduled for September 28, 2025.
