Christopher Nkunku eyes more playing time at AC Milan
France international of DR Congo descent Christopher Nkunku is determined for a regular playing time at AC Milan.
Nkunku joined the Italian giants in the summer window on a permanent deal and has since made three appearances for the club.
The 27-year-old forward was in action when AC Milan cruised to a resounding 3-0 win over Lecce in the Round 32 clash of the Coppa Italia, held at the San Siro on Tuesday night.
He played a pivotal role by registering his name on the scoresheet, contributing to the sides’ emphatic victory over their opponent.
His first goal for the Italian giants could serve as a confidence booster as he seeks to make impact at the club. However, the forward has set sights on regular game time at the club.
“It was a good match from everyone, with a great performance. We scored three goals and didn’t concede any. We’re happy to have qualified,” Nkunku said in statements reported by Football Italia.
“I feel good, and I’m determined to play more. I’m working hard to feel more comfortable. I feel comfortable here and I’ve received a warm welcome,” he added.
“Everyone makes me happy, from the coaching staff to my teammates to the fans. I’m happy to play for Milan.”
Nkunku’s transfer to the Rossoneri cost the Italian club around €43 million (in total, including all bonus).
