French-Cameroonian striker Hugo Ekitiké explains why Liverpool was “the right time and place”

Hugo Ekitiké made a decisive move in his career during the last summer transfer window, opting to leave Eintracht Frankfurt after a standout season and join Liverpool in the Premier League.

The French-Cameroonian forward, only 23 years old, chose Anfield as the next stage in his development, despite attracting strong interest from other clubs.

His performances have already drawn praise from teammates, with defender Joël Matip describing him as a player who “has everything he needs to succeed at Liverpool.”

The striker’s commitment is reflected in the length and value of his contract. Ekitiké is tied to Liverpool until June 2031, earning an annual salary of €12,062,448,s.
