Tamer Mostafa takes charge of Al-Ittihad Alexandria with fresh hope
Tamer Mostafa has stepped into a new chapter of his career as he begins work as the technical director of Al-Ittihad Alexandria.
His arrival comes with a sense of renewal for the club and its fans, who are eager to turn a difficult start to the season into a more promising run.
Al-Ittihad confirmed that Mostafa replaces Ahmed Sami, who was dismissed after a string of disappointing results. Training under the new technical staff starts today, Saturday, as preparations begin for Monday’s league clash against Zed in the eighth round.
Mostafa will not be working alone. The reshaped staff includes Hamad Ibrahim as general coach, Ahmed Hassan Mekki as assistant coach, Mohamed Younes as goalkeeper coach, Islam Adel as football director, Khaled El-Saeed as physical trainer, and Mahmoud Farag as performance analyst. The club also revealed that one of its former players will join the team as assistant coach after the Zed game.
Mostafa’s coaching journey has taken him through ENPPI, Modern Sport, Ismaily, and a spell leading the Olympic team at Saudi side Al-Shabab.
