Ismaily coach Miloud Hamdi shares pain after Zamalek defeat
Ismaily coach Miloud Hamdi opened up about his disappointment after watching his side fall 2-0 to Zamalek in the seventh round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The Algerian tactician admitted the result left him heartbroken, especially for the loyal fans who have endured a difficult start to the season.
Hamdi explained during the post-match press conference that his players worked hard to stay level with Zamalek, but mistakes in defense proved costly. Zamalek took full advantage, with Abdullah El-Saeed converting a penalty and Palestinian forward Adi El-Dabbagh adding the second.
“I’m sad for the Ismaily fans, but I’m doing my best for the team, and the results of my work will become clear with time,” Hamdi said, showing both regret and determination.
He also stressed the need for persistence, adding, “We have nothing left but work, and more work, to correct some things and bring the team to the best possible state.”
The defeat marked Ismaily’s fifth loss in seven matches, leaving them on just four points and searching for a way to rebuild their campaign.
