Kawkab Marrakech coach Rachid Taoussi rues second straight defeat
Kawkab Marrakech head coach Rachid Taoussi has voiced his frustration after his side suffered a second consecutive defeat in the Moroccan Botola Pro.
The newly promoted club fell 2-1 to RS Berkane on Tuesday, following an opening-day loss to Wydad Casablanca.
“We will try to instil confidence in the players so that they don’t feel any doubt,” Taoussi said after the game.
“Luck turned its back on us in the first two matches, just as bad luck placed us against two big clubs early on — Wydad and the defending champions, Berkane.”
The veteran coach admitted that costly errors, stemming from his squad’s lack of experience, have hampered their start to the season.
“We made mistakes that cost us dearly, but we are here to learn, no matter how tough the lessons are,” he explained.
“The league is still in its early stages, and it’s better to make mistakes now than at a decisive moment. We will try to rectify the situation step by step.”
