German-Ghanaian defender Jerome Boateng searching for a new club at 37
Germany defender of Ghanaian descent, Jerome Boateng, is not ready to retire at the moment.
At age 37, the veteran centre-back is keeping himself fit at Bayern Munich as he seeks to find a new club.
Ahead of Bayern’s UEFA Champions League opener against Chelsea, Boateng was spotted at Säbener Straße on Monday.
According to BILD, the ex-defender underwent treatment with Bayern’s medical staff, Dr. Peter Ueblacker and Dr. Jochen Hahne, as part of his efforts to stay in shape while awaiting fresh opportunities.
Although he no longer holds a sporting role at the club, Boateng’s return to familiar grounds highlighted his strong bond with Bayern, where he enjoyed a highly successful spell.
His presence, however, was purely for rehabilitation and fitness purposes, with no indication of a formal comeback.
For Bayern, the focus remains firmly on Chelsea, while for Boateng, the mission is clear, keep fit and ready for the next chapter in his football journey.
