Mohamed Fadl, the former Al Ahly forward, has spoken with passion about the struggles facing his old club.

After a slow start to the season that has left fans unsettled, Fadl urged everyone connected with the team to put the club above personal gain and disagreements.

Al Ahly dropped more points on Sunday with a 1-1 draw against Enppi in the Egyptian League’s sixth round. The result left the defending champions on just six points from five matches, ranking 15th on the table in one of their worst openings in years.

“I hope that everyone who truly and truly belongs to Al-Ahly Club, not just in words, will remain silent and not speak out during this period,” Fadl said on his personal Facebook account.

“Al-Ahly is above all its sons and belongs to all its sons. Enough of the committees and harassment by people with financial and administrative interests, whose names and positions are known to everyone. Enough of playing with the fans’ emotions and dragging the club into battles.”
