Raja coach Lassaad Chabbi confident of stronger performances as season progresses
Raja Casablanca head coach Lassaad Chabbi has assured supporters that his side will grow stronger as the 2025/26 Moroccan Botola Pro season unfolds.
The Green Eagles began their campaign with a 2-0 victory over FUS Rabat on Saturday evening at the Kenitra Stadium, a result Chabbi believes will serve as a vital boost to the squad’s confidence.
“This win is important on a psychological level, as it gives the players the belief they need,” Chabbi said after the match.
The Tunisian coach acknowledged the absence of several key internationals during pre-season but expressed optimism that their return will elevate the team’s performance.
“The victory over FUS Rabat is important on a mental level, so that the players gain the necessary confidence,” Chaabi said.
“We missed our international players for a long time due to their participation with their national teams, so I am confident that the team will be much better in the future and will deliver a high-quality performance that will impress the fans.”
Chabbi also underlined the club’s ambitions for the campaign.
“Raja will compete to win championships, and that is a reality. Therefore, we must be patient and calm, and ensure that the team enjoys care and support,” he added.
Raja will look to build on their opening-day success when they host defending champions AS FAR on Wednesday, September 17, at the Stade Mohammed V.
