National Bank start Al Ramadi era with a powerful win over Petrojet

National Bank opened a new chapter under coach Ayman Al Ramadi in the best way possible with a commanding 3-0 win against Petrojet at Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo on Friday evening.

It was the opening game of the sixth round of the Egyptian League, and the players showed determination to give their new coach a perfect start.

Mostafa El-Zenary broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, rising to meet a cross from Isaac Yakubu with a strong header that gave the visitors the lead. The second goal came in the 79th minute when Ahmed Amin “Ofa” finished calmly after being set up by Mostafa Shalaby. Just five minutes later, Mahmoud Emad added the third, sealing the result for the Bank. Petrojet thought they had pulled one back in stoppage time, but their goal was ruled out.

The victory lifted National Bank to 7 points and into eighth place, marking their first win of the season. For Petrojet, coached by Sayed Eid, it was their first defeat, leaving them on 9 points in fourth place.
