Ousmane Dembele opens up on secret behind PSG’s historic UCL winning campaign

French forward of Malian descent, Ousmane Dembele, has revealed what helped PSG to win a historic first-ever Uefa Champions League trophy during the 2024/25 football season.

According to him, although the Parisians didn’t start the season very well, everything turned around when the mentality of players changed.

“We didn’t have a particularly good start, especially in the Champions League in the first half of the season,” Dembélé shared in an interview to Onze Mondial.

He continued, “After that, everyone raised their level, especially in the second half of the season. We encouraged each other and achieved great things.”

“The players’ mentality has changed, especially in the second half of the season. That’s my explanation.”

In that historic UEFA Champions League winning campaign, Ousmane Dembele was the star for PSG, leading the attack and playing a leadership role in the dressing room.

He is now the favourite to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
