Senegal’s Fodé Ballo-Touré excited after signing for FC Metz

Senegalese international Fodé Ballo-Touré has expressed his delight after joining French outfit FC Metz.

The defender has signed a one-year contract with the Ligue 1 club and will be hoping to impress to merit an extension at the end of the 2025/26 football season.

“FC Metz has a new addition to its ranks. This Wednesday, the Grenats reached an agreement with Fodé Ballo-Touré. A free agent since last summer, the defender has signed a one-year contract with an option for another season. He is therefore tied to the club with the Cross of Lorraine until June 2026,” the French club announced in an official statement.

Speaking in his first interview, Fodé Ballo-Touré said he is delighted and hopes to make an impact at the club.

“I am very happy to join this historic club. I am aware that I will have to redouble my efforts to show my qualities. I am joining a very good squad, and I hope that we will achieve our goal of staying up,” the defender said as quoted on the FC Metz website.

Fodé Ballo-Touré, 28, is an experienced player with 118 appearances in the French top flight.
